Organization History
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines Quezon City Chapter (IBP QC) emerged as part of the nationwide establishment of local IBP chapters on February 17, 1973. This came shortly after the Supreme Court's January 9, 1973 resolution that officially integrated the Philippine Bar under Rule 139-A (Philippines Graphic, 2023; IBP QC CHAPTER PHILIPPINES, 2025).
As the legal profession in Quezon City grew, so did the chapter. Today, it is recognized as the largest and most influential IBP chapter in the Philippines, with approximately 13,000 registered members as of December 2024. This significant membership grants the chapter the right to field 11 representatives to the IBP House of Delegates, the highest number among all chapters nationwide (IBP QC CHAPTER PHILIPPINES, 2025).
The chapter operates from its headquarters at the 4th floor of the Old Hall of Justice in the Quezon City Hall Complex, Diliman. This central location houses both the administrative offices and the chapter's Legal Aid Center, which provides free legal consultations to indigent clients.
Throughout its existence, Integrated Bar of the Philippines Quezon City Chapter has distinguished itself through exemplary legal aid programs, community outreach initiatives, and dedication to pro bono work. These efforts have cemented its reputation as a premier chapter that consistently upholds the highest standards of the legal profession while maintaining a vital presence within both the legal community and the broader society it serves.
